Interpretations #1 (Bertha Krupp / FDL)

by Rohli

We gave the stems from our last release to some of our friends and boy did they deliver!

Each concocting something completely different, despite using similar samples from Bertha Krupp / FDL (Spring Offensive).

There's a peak time Ibiza banger, an industrial monstrosity, a Dubstep inspired masterpiece and a trip to the darker and alternative side
of the Berlin journey courtesy of Throb resident Simon.

We've had a wonderful relationship with these 2 talented gentlemen since we first crossed paths at the inaugural NEF, when they had the Cumberland Arms bouncing from the start to finish. We've been playing at each others showcases ever since, spreading the joys of local electronic music to the populus!

Associated with Real Sesh, an artist collective based in the North East. Kovert is a UK Bass act, blurring the lines between Dubstep, Grime, Techno & Garage.

We've been a big fan of this guys productions ever since we met him at an outdoor rave at Devil's Canyon last summer. Hoping to be able to work with him a lot more and looking forward to seeing more of his productions in a live environment.

OM10 -

Ruari McGuinness' industrial soundscapes have been on our radar for a while now. We first witnessed his skills playing at one of Backdrop's infamous sweaty raves in the back room at Ernest. Experiencing his productions performed in a live setting is the optimum environment to consume his music and he's been at the top of our list of bookings ever since, be it for Northern Electric Festival or a Kaneda! party.

Last time he played at our Tin Sessions he (unexpectedly) managed to set off the fire alarm with the pure fire that was emanating from the system whilst he was performing (well kind of, people were also smoking in the corridors but i'll leave the trigger for the fire brigade arriving for you....) - nonetheless the sirens complimented his music perfectly and no one was any the wiser!

Part of the crew that founded the infamous Backdrop raves in Newcastle, a very accomplished DJ of various styles and tempos, our THROBBING brother Simon has come along way production wise in the past few years and has been a mainstay within the underground electronic scene for a while.

Now a resident of the Kaneda affiliated Throb party, with an EP on the way via the record label, we're expecting big things from geezer!

Electro and IDM with a strictly dance floor mentality.
