ROHLI (LIVE) -
An exciting, industrial minimal techno duo who use ambient and found sounds to explore accidental grooves and create gritty spatial soundscapes. This is combined with aggressive percussion, atmospheric synths and motoric bass lines.
With the pairs equipment multiplying by the week, expect plenty of explorations into the world of improvisation, through manipulation of live sounds using sequencers, drum machines and samplers. Nevertheless, ROHLI relentless deep and heavy dance-floor style will be at the heart of the set. Having been busy grafting in the studio since their last performance, plenty of new material will be in the offing, with a single in the works for release on Kaneda! Records in the summer, featuring new track 'Warehouse 2' and old favourite 'Basterd Shaft'.
Key influences include AnD, Burial and Blawan.
