Lemon wedges, so neatly,
Stuffed in to mouths like smiles deceive my eyes,
Vacuum packed souls still question why two piercing portals,
Left with nothing but assumptions,
Vessels shipping faux ideals,
The surf conceals what lips may hide,
Cast vanity aside,
Self conscious ears hear all but lies,
Peer exported pride,
Once we wandered side by side but I lost my stride.
In the mud footsteps grow,
They dance through the snow,
Marching in melodies you'll never know,
A forest to sow,
From memories unknown,
Wait by the night,
For the branches to show.

That once brushed the top of my ears,
But I didn't,
So I turned to enquire upon the intruder of my senses,
