about

'Suckle Suckle' by The John Cream Collective, featuring remix by Summer Night Air.

“…At the time we described Suckle Suckle as ‘the sound of sexual potatoes’, and that stands to this day. Suckle suckle, or Suckle x 2 as the kids have christened it, was written in the fresh aftermath of the break up of a local indie electro-pop band called ‘Moira Stewart’, which we were active members of from 2005-2011. Suckle Suckle was made in 2010/11 and ‘released’ around 2015, with zero promotion and was met, unsurprisingly, to universal disinterest. To me, personally, the track represents the new found freedoms I felt from leaving Moira Stewart. In addition, I was in a newish relationship and was going to be a father for the first time; Suckle Suckle’s warm, breezy, bouncy optimism reflects the positive changes I was experiencing in my life at that moment.”

‘The John Cream Collective’ were the artists formally known as ‘Just Juice’.
