Buhl / Daughters are an exciting, industrial minimal techno duo who use ambient and found sounds to explore accidental grooves and create gritty spatial soundscapes. Combining this with aggressive percussion, atmospheric synths and motoric bass lines; they create their signature sound.
Fascinated with rhythm and texture, the pair have created a sound heavily influenced by the production techniques associated with Electro Acoustic Compostion. The music has a dark, cinematic minimalism; allowing the rhythms within the track to draw the listeners in.
As their live showcase continues to develop alongside their forthcoming releases, Buhl / Daughters continuously explore the world of improvisation through manipulation of live sounds using an abundance of hardware - constantly altering arrangements - and creating loops on the fly. The steady heartbeat of a kick drum helps lend their music perfectly to the club environment; adding to the relentless, deep and heavy dance-floor style.
