"Born in Hong Kong, Simon's passion for music was a delayed one, with a true love of electronic music not arriving until the age of 22. However, despite this late start, ever since first stepping behind the decks at the age of 24, Simon has gone from strength to strength as Backdrop Resident, supported by an unbridled passion for digging vinyl, and his own burgeoning production skills. Headlining Backdrop’s own free parties at Ernest in the Ouseburn Valley (Newcastle), hosting Backdrop parties in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh, and supporting the likes of Helena Hauff, Ben UFO, Dax J, Jane Fitz and Objekt, and featuring in the now-renowned boutique festival, Field Maneuvers, are highlights so far."
