"Affectionately known as NUTSDE, The Newcastle Upon Tyne Speed Donk Experience are a fusion punk/grind/donk band who push the boundaries of each genre to provide the audience with a challenging yet rewarding listening experience.
Although less than half the band are actually from Newcastle, the strong Geordie heritage comes through in their though-provoking lyrics heavily steeped in the lore of a popular London-based soap opera and a form of music most commonly associated with the North West.
The NUTSDE live experience is unpredictable to say the least, the 8 piece largely improvised grind-donk explosion often resembling Kareoke after a staff party with a free bar. It has been described as everything from “The future of punk” to “the reason good bands can’t get gigs”. This just goes to show that, like all great art, NUTSDE are nothing if not divisive.
Northern Electric festival brings a special one-off set from The Newcastle Upon Tyne Speed Donk Experience, who will be performing a live score of an as yet un-named Eastenders episode."
